Introduction

Since 2013, Some Company embraced a new way of inspecting their Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic Assets. This inspection program utilized the UTComp System, including a network of Licensee trained data collectors and UTComp expert analysis. While the UTComp System can be used on all fiberglass reinforced plastic assets greater than 2inches or 5cm in diameter, all inspections have been on larger diameter tanks rather than piping. This new system replaced a program that was based on a time in service approach whereby equipment would be replaced every 7 years or 15 years depending on the type of service and process fluid.
